Description:

Jacalin은 Jack-fruit seed(Artocarpus integrifolia)에서 분리된 Lectin으로, α-D-galactose sugar에 특이적으로 결합하는 특징을 가지고 있습니다. 분자량 약 40 kDa의 homotetrameric glycoprotein lectin이며, 인간 IgA에는 선택적으로 결합하지만 IgG 및 IgM에는 결합하지 않습니다. 이러한 특성으로 인해 Jacalin은 혈청(serum) 및 초유(colostrum) 샘플에서 IgA를 정제하거나 제거(depletion)하기 위한 고친화성 리간드(high-affinity ligand)로 널리 사용되고 있습니다.

Sterogene의 Jacalin Superflow 4는 높은 안정성과 우수한 결합 용량(>3 mg human IgA/ml resin)을 제공하는 Affinity Chromatography Resin으로, 소규모 연구용 키트부터 대규모 바이오 분리정제(Bioseparation) 공정까지 다양한 Purification Scale에 적용할 수 있습니다. IgA Purification, Immunoglobulin Separation 및 바이오의약품 연구 분야에 적합한 고성능 Affinity Resin입니다.

Key features:

• Matrix support: 4% crosslinked agarose beads
• Immobilized ligand: Jacalin
• Ligand density: 5 mg lectin/ml of agarose beads
• Binding capacity: 3-5 mg of human IgAs/ml of resin
• Storage buffer: 10 mM phosphate buffer, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.5, with 0.05% sodium azide
• Elution buffer: 0.1-0.3 M α-D-galactose or 0.1 -0.3 M melibiose in PBS
